Hi
Looking for a winter coat for daughter aged 8. Needs to be full length, waterproof and warm as will have to walk to school all throughout the winter since we got rid of 2nd car and above all fashionable for an 8 year old. I cannot find anything that fits all criteria. Any suggestions for where to look.
Thanks

Unfortunately I have found fashionable & waterproof hard to find. Coats from H & M very good quality, but for waterproof I always go to TKMAXX. Trespass, Regatta & Dare2be are a few makes I have seen in there, my youngest daughter 7yrs has a lilac padded coat (waterproof) Dare3be which I bought for £12.99.0

Or you could buy what ever none waterproof coat and a couple cans of fabsil and waterproof it yourself. give it a good coating till the fabric looks wet meaning that it has soaked in rather than just sat on the surface and the waterproofing will last for ages.0

Got a 3/4 length coat from Asda for just a fiver, not because I liked it but because it's very similat to what all the other 8yo in my DD's class wear.
Puffa style, showerproof, but she always carries a kag in a bag in case of really bad weather.
Well done for walking to school. :TMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Thanks for all your replies.
Went for a ski jacket in the end which she is happy about. It arrived on Friday, she wore it yesterday to walk the dog to the shops and today I discover she has grease on it !!!! Just hope it holds up to the wear and tear she'll give it !Mortgage, paid off!0
