don't worry about it, your mortgage advisor isn't trying to catch you out, it's fine to decide to use the money for your solicitors/pay off your car and to use the savings as the deposit. If your mortgage advisor or the bank have any concerns they will request the bank statements showing the deposit being built up,which you can provide, and you can be honest and explain the other £6000 going inI am a Mortgage Adviser
