Ias Appeal - think I've messed up!

Options
Hi All,

I've just been reading through the sticky and recommended posts at the top of this thread and I'm pretty sure I've done everything you advise not too :(

Basically I was parked in what I thought was a 90 minute free Aldi Car Park whilst I took my four year old daughter for a wee for a total of 11 minutes. I was in an area I'm not familiar with.

When I got the parking notice I found out it was a car park shared between the pub and Aldi. I have not yet been able to track down the landowner.

I appealed the ticket using one of the MSE letters and was turned down with lots of pictures of giant signs (none of which I clocked, I'm ashamed to say) I did also appeal on proportionality but they never responded to that.

I emailed them to ask they review their decision explaining my mitigation and on the grounds they had not responded regarding proportionality.

They ignored it despite me putting the correct details in the email.

I then raised an appeal with the IAS.

They have responded today stating they would have considered my mitigation but because I sent them an abrupt letter to start they were not going to change their decision.

I have responded and asked again for their stance on the proportinality and said I feel they are being unfair not to review because I sent in a standard letter which they must have seen many times.

Having read your forums in detail I now know I have messed up big time :(

what do I do now? Is £100 proportionate for 11 minutes whilst I took my four year to the toilet (I was desperate to find somewhere at the time, it was a built up area, no handy trees or laybys and I was lost). I'm pretty sure by reading your forums that because is the IAS and they run a kangaroo court I have no chance at appeal and its already set in stone. Do I go to court and hope for leniency there?

I have already written the pub (no response) and Aldi who say they don't own the land.
