Santander - Payments to DCA on statement, problems with obtaining a mortgage?

Hi

My partner had 2 defaults which came off his credit file in 2016. We have received a decision in principle from Santander, who he banks with.

There are 2 direct debits to Moorcroft ( a debt management company) which his previous statements show. (I have just come across them whilst getting paperwork together).

Obviously, we didn't want Santander knowing about his previous situation,

Is this going to result In a rejection?

Santander will ask you on the application if you have Failed to Maintain any Credit Agreements?

What is the plan with that question?

  • I was not aware this question would be asked. Assumed it would ask whether this was the case in the last 6 years?

I would have to be honest, of course.

  • Hi

thanks for the reply, no, I went through L and C. I haven't gone back to him as he seemed to not be that helpful / fed up with my questions!
