Income Question - Girlfriend 'rent' payment

I'm about due to remortgage so just going over my options.
I'm earning more than I was 2 years ago, which is always good, but another change in my financial situation is that my GF lives with me and pays £400 a month board.
Should I declare this, or am I likely to set myself up for questions regarding undeclared incomes etc?
Thanks!

Im sure there are better ways to word what you have said, but I am not sure you would really class it as an income so no need to declare it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I am sure than when you apply for a mortgage or remortgage the lender will ask you whether there are other people living with you who either do or do not contribute to payments towards the house. I think for the purposes of getting a mortgage they will not be too bothered about payments that she is paying to you.
As this is a mortgages board not a relationships board I will not go in detail about the fact that if you split up and your ex makes a claim on their share that they will probably acquired by beneficial interest, the courts will have a hard time believing that you were having a sexual relationship with your "lodger" of x years and the resulting beneficial interest claim that resulted and in you having to pay up some money or sell the house as a result of that. You could have a written agreement drawn up to prevent that, it all depends on your attitude to the relationship.0
