Can I count my husbands wages as an income?

We are looking to take out a new mortgage however I am aiming to take this out in my name only as my husband has a dreadful credit history which we are working on.

He pays all of his wages into my account each month for me to pay all the outgoings etc.

Will a lender see this as an income as it has been like this for over 2 years

No, I am afraid not, just apply in joint names and see what you get offered.

As above, if he is not party to the mortgage, there is nothing stopping him walking away and refusing to pay anything towards it.

How bad is his credit? If you give us a breakdown of what is on there (defaults/CCJs) when from, how much for and what for, we can give you an idea as to whether you can obtain a joint mortgage.
