Do they always carry out a valuation on the property you're looking to buy before they have been through everything else in your application? Or do they only book a valuation once they're happy with everything else?

I am not a mortgage broker but certainly in my experience they only do the valuation once they have checked everything and are happy.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0

It varies from lender to lender.
Some do it first and underwrite the case when they have everything, while others underwrite and then instruct valuation.I am a mortgage broker. Valuation is part of the mortgage offer, its heading in the right l Direction for you, they normally only instruct evaluation if you've passed the first bits the only thing that might happen which is another hurdle to jump is making sure the valuation comes back at the same price as you're purchasing.
But if it doesn't it's not the end of the road and there is options available0 -
Thank you. The mortgage is with NatWest and it's a new-build so I'm hoping this means they're happy with my application and that this is the final stage!0

Are you the one I told to get hold of their application number from their broker so they could track it?Hanger_boy89 wrote: »Thank you.
