Return train ticket

I need to get to Gatwick from Manchester and I was looking at buying an advanced single but none got released so I need to buy a off peak return- the only problem is we are staying for a night in London on the return and will depart from Euston, can I do this on a return ticket from Gatwick? (some of the routes stop at Euston but my starting journey would be Euston and not Gatwick)
Also, what will be the best way to get from Gatwick into London?

No advance tickets at all? How far ahead are you looking? They don't get released until around 3 months before.
Having said that, buying singles will mean you need 3 tickets so the savings on the £92.60 return are going to be marginal, probably no more than £15 at most.
If you get the £92.60 return you can break your return journey, as long as you complete the trip within a month of the outgoing journey. So it'll cover you returning from Gatwick to London then picking up where you left off the next day to get to Manchester.
Where in London are you staying? There are a few routes into London from Gatwick that your ticket will be valid for.0 -
Look for advanced tickets from London Euston to Manchester return and Gatwick - London as a separate journey.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Best way is Gatwick - victoria tube to Euston and rail to Manchester.
Other option is Gatwick to St Pancras International (you may have to change at London Bridge or Blackfriars) then walk to Euston and rail to Manchester.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
