Hello has anyone had an lvl lash lift? Or can any beautician comment please? I find it difficult now to apply mascara well with eyesight not brill and have been reading that this can last about 6 weeks making eyelashes look longer and the included tint making them look darker. I just wonder if it's good enough to look like a bit of mascara? Am not looking for hugely dramatic effect as am 70 and don't wear a lot of make up now! My eyelashes are black still but nowhere near as long and thick as they once were!

Having previously had lash perms I eventually tried LVL lashes as they were supposed to last longer. What a huge disappointment! I could hardly tell any difference, and certainly nothing like the lovely eye opening effect of a perm.

Really not a fan I'm afraid, would suggest a perm and tint instead.

I have my eyelashes permed and tinted.

They use a kind of 'speed hump' which the lashes are glued onto which itself is glued onto your closed eyelid.

Love it. I looked wide eyed and the bonus is that my eyelashes no longer scrape the lenses of my glasses so I can see out as well.

I recently had a lash lift and tint about 3-4 weeks ago (not LVL so can't comment on that) - I loved it just after I had it done and for about 2 weeks afterwards. Didn't really need to use mascara.

However after 2 weeks, I noticed lots of my eyelashes were falling out, although I may have just noticed this more because my eyelashes were darker. I now have a bald patch on one of my eyes which looks very odd. I am also having problems where new eyelashes are growing which means my lashes look quite messy now. My new lashes don't seem to have the curl they usually would.

I naturally have quite long fair lashes so to be honest I wouldn't have the lift done again and would stick with just a tint. I prefer the look I can get with mascara. Expect it is quite individual though.

How long do the perms and tints last and what do they cost? Is just a tint about halfway to good mascara and how long does just a tint last please. Thank you all so much for comments.

A lash lifts, also known as a lash perm, will semi-permanently curl and darken your eyelashes. First, your lashes are curled with an eye-safe perm solution, then they can be tinted to add more color. The results last about 8-10 weeks.

I love having a lash lift, it really opens my eyes so I don't walk around looking half asleep lol. I used to have lashes on my left eyelid that fell sideways but the lash lift has straightened it out and they look so much better.
