OK I'm on Income Support, suffering from depression like a lot of people but I've now landed well and truly in the doo doo!
I got a letter this court bailiff this morning saying I must pay £800 by 28 Sept or they will be removing goods.
The letter isn't correctly addressed to me as the surname is wrong but I know it's my own debt.
It's for some goods I ordered shouldn't have been delivered as I hadn't paid for them but the company sent them anyway and I thought I'd be able to make what I needed and then pay but due to everything going wrong it never worked out like that.
All I've had is statements from the company that supplied the goods never any letters.
I did receive a letter from the court some weeks ago saying that I a judgement would be passed if it wasn't paid but I just thought I'd be getting a CCJ.
All communications have had the wrong surname and I've not replied to anything.
I know it's all very foolish and I've been a total pratt sticking my head in the sand and hoping it would go away.
Now I don't know what to do, I've got no money to pay them, I don't have credit cards or any credit as I simply can't afford it.
Any help would be appreciated.

If it were me I'd send the letter back saying the person they're addressed to does not live there.
I'm sure it would at least give you some extra time.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
To be honest I was thinking of doing that but one of the company employees knows what I look like as they came to my house a couple of times ages ago though to deliver some things I actually did order and pay for and I'm concerned that they may knock my door or something saying that I am 'the person' If that makes sense!
I'm worried sick about this, I've had a really bad few years and thought I was just turning things round for the better and this happens. I'm also concerned for my son as I don't want to put him through bailiffs and things.
Part of me thinks they shouldn't have sent the goods without me paying for them first anyway but that doesn't make things better.£2 Savers Club joined 24/09/07, saved so far £8.00 :T

Hi
Get yourself down to CAB in the morning. if you are on benefits you should be able to negoitiate a weekly payment, but you may need help sorting it out as it has got to this stage.
Also, would your doctor sign anything to say you are depressed. THat would amke you a vunerable person and might give you a bit more leeway.
And do you have the goods anymore. Could you negioitiate to return them?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
