Shorts for men with short legs

Good evening,

As the weather is getting better again, I am faced with my annual problem with shorts - I have very short legs (~26/27" inside leg), and really struggle to find shops that sell shorts which a) don't go down to my calves, or b) look like speedos. Does anyone know of any places that might cater for me?

It's very easy to turn up the hems on a pair of shorts, assuming the rest of the garment fits you well. Google on 'clothing alterations + the name of your home town' to find someone who could do the job if you can't.

I'm always having trouble with shorts and getting them altered sometimes end up with the shorts looking funny.

Buying shorts to fit just makes life better

As a short person, shorts are actually one of the few things I don't have much issue with, depends on your age and style I guess but if you wear them slightly longer than other people would it just looks like they are intended to be long.

I'm slim and have recently got over my embarrassment (click and collect helps of buy childrens' clothes, particularly jeans for everyday wear. No one knows apart from me and they actually fit. The only problem is the pockets are a bit on the small side.
