Potential problem!!

I submitted my mortgage application yesterday through my broker but on the application form I noticed that the first line of my address is slightly different - instead of First Floor Flat, it just says First. I checked my report on Clear Score and that just says First too, when it should be First Floor Flat. The rest of the address is fine.

If this was going to be an issue, would it have been picked up by now already, as I already have my DIP an etc?

If you used the lenders Royal Mail PAF (Postal Address Format) search facility, it's likely the address was picked up but didn't necessarily populate the application summary pdf properly.

In most cases, if it wasn't done properly, it wouldn't have allowed the submission to proceed.

  • Well the broker is the one who filled out that part of the form for me, so it could be like you said where it pre-populated the information. The fact that it says the same wrong thing on Clear Score is concerning though.

I'll have to wait until Monday to hear back from my broker about it. But I would hope that seeing as my credit check has already been done in the DIP then this shouldn't be of concern?
