No wonder I hate rail journeys!

Generally speaking, I find travelling by train to be the least stressful way of getting from A to B. I'm not a motorist, - perhaps this makes a difference? Buy ticket, get on train, find seat, relax, listen to some music or an audio book.. get off train at your destination.
(yes I know some journeys are more complicated than that, but still..)It is not because things are difficult that we dare not venture
It is because we dare not venture that they are difficult

I despise rail. I've also realised they don't pay out. So I don't pay for my tickets now. I don't need to, so I don't. Why should I be honest when they aren't?0

Edit to add - as for changing platforms - we used to swear that the signalling staff at Bristol used to compete to see how many commuters they could get to run from one platform to another when they switched platforms at the last minute. It is a bit annoying but really its about operational things - if the train that is due into platform 8 is running late, they can either delay yours whilst it comes in and clears or bring it in somewhere else and send it out on time (where its taking a different route after the station as could be the case at Sheffield).
We had that last week when going to London....funniest sight ever seeing everyone making a run for it up the stairs and over to the new platform, it was stampede proportions. Bit eek (but at the same time, fun) for me in my wheelchair being rushed through the station, into the lift and onto the new platform by a member of staff who had seemingly had lessons from an F1 driver whilst my children were desperately trying to keep up :rotfl:
We all got safely onto the train though. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
