Reclaiming Lloyds Loan PPI on a DMP

I've started my DMP, and i'm wanting to recalim my PPI on my Lloyds loan due to the fact that when i entered into my loan agreement i was told i had to have PPI and wouldn't get the loan without it.
I now believe this is not true and should have a case,am i right?
Can i reclaim?
Does being on a DMP make a difference?
Anyone got a template for this scenario?
