To reduce debt from £8330 to £5166 in less than 2 months is really good. You seem to be very disciplined with the only lapses I can see the temptation to put takeaways on the credit card. Do you not have an eating out or entertainment budget within your current account for that so you are not tempted to increase the credit card balance? Admittedly I can see it is at 0% and so long as you carry on paying off at the current rate then it won't make much difference to your DFD.
I assume after the debt is gone you will be saving for a new car by the time the PCP deal is up?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Yes the takeaways are rubbish. we have the food in the house there is no reason for a takeaway. I end up binning food at the end of the week because we have bought a takeaway so it needs to stop. We have a Morrisons less than 100m from our house too! No entertainment budget but we each get £50 a week to spend with what we want so no reason I couldn't buy a takeaway out of that as I spend it on crap otherwise
We move in June/July time so I want all of our debts gone or as much as possible as we are doubling our rent (going into a mortgage) and we have a good disposable income it just goes on debt.
Next plan is to save the £7k to pay off the car balance as I've gone over the mileage already on my car so I would have to pay £2k plus when I hand it back so might as well buy the car but that's down the line0 -

Hi, just read your diary, it must be nice to see all the debts reducing quickly you seem to have cleared so much in a short time.takeaways are our downfall, would it be worth rejigging your weekly spends and creating that takeaway budget then you dont feel guilty for getting one and it could be a goal that whatever is left at the end of the month goes to a specific debt.PAYDBX 2017 #073 2571/£2500

No payments to be made now till Wednesday. I spent the best part of a hour on the phone to NatWest complaints team the other day and its cost me £30... our phone bill for two is £145 this month Otherwise I would have paid £30 off something (usual bill is £115)0

So we've had some news that has slightly scuppered our plans... the buyers of our house want to exchange at the end of May. So we are moving back in with mum and dad. Added benefit no house expenses to pay. Our new build won't be ready till end of July/ end of August.
So I should have all my debt (minus my car) fully paid off before we have bought our first home and be debt free to start our new life

What a great start that will be then. Debt free to start your new life in your new home and hopefully a nice emergency fund although with a new build I would not expect that to be needed straight away. You can sort out the car fund too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
