Ok this might be a strange one but, I have dug out all the paperwork that i have to start sorting through my debts but i also had a few debts that where sold and sold on again and i dont have any paper work relating to them. Is there anyway to find out a defenate list of who i owe money to or is it a case of sorting the ones i know about and have details of and waiting for others to get in touch again
Thanks

Hiya and welcome!
don't know if others will aggree but i'd start with getting your credit report from www.experian.co.uk, www.equifax.co.uk and www.callcredit.co.uk
Different creditors use different companies so it will help having a copy of all three.
I'd then in turn contact all the creditors shown on the reports to see what the situation is with each of them? Whether they have gone to a DCA, defaulted etc.In debt no more!0 -
Hello,
I would sort out the ones you know about first. Especially the most pressing ones. By setting up agreements with your creditors now you will prempt them getting nasty and threatening you with court action.
Once you get on a even keel with the debts you know about you can consider taking on the 'missing' debts.
Good Luck,
