Equity release/mortgage

Hey everyone
First time here eeek!!
I am part of a married discharged bankrupt couple. But we have been lucky - we own our home outright. Well I say that - we actually owe my hubs mum and dad around £50k which we used to put a new roof on among other things.
They want their money back - rightly so - and we need a way of unlocking some of the equity in the house. We don't mind whether this is through a mortgage or whatever, just as long as we can release around £75k
Any tips? We have got an appointment with our financial adviser but I just wanted to go in armed with a few ideas.
Thanks:j
