Self Building Mortgage Help

Hi my husband and I are currently getting a site passed to build a home on. We are about to start looking for mortgages but looking generally Martin only gives information on buying an already built home. Can anyone give suggestions on the best mortgages for self building.
Thanks in advance

I would strongly recommend a broker, one with experience in self builds.
I say that as a broker who has done a self build mortgage and would never touch one again.

I still have nightmares about it.

As stated by ACG you cannot sort out funding for such a project without a Mortgage Broker.

    They are complex cases.

    Expect to provide:

    Detailed planning
    Schedule of works
    Costings
    Proof of income

Expect to pay a number of fees.
