    Its not owed in one lump sum though is it.

    Its £5 here, £7 there, i admire the blokes tenacity, but the last debts were from 2010, so every debt virtually, would be statute barred by now anyway.

    And he`s well aware of that fact.

    He is using the age old trick of hoping the British public are unaware of the Limitations act, and just pay up.

    Not a very astute business man to leave debts dormant for seven (and more) years.

    In answer to the OP's question - if it were me, then no I wouldn't pay.

    Just as aside -I am amazed his shop stayed open for so long. I thought the days of renting videos/DVDs from shops like this disappeared quite a few years ago with the advent of on demand services from the likes of Virgin Media and Sky etc.
