How to break long unlucky streak

I used to average a win every couple of months. Well, it's been almost a year, I'm not doing anything differently, and I haven't won a bean! I also used to have the occasional small lottery or scratchcard win, but those have died down to almost nothing as well. I never really used to put much faith in luck, but seriously, this is against-the-odds bad - I'm gobsmacked, and pretty discouraged as well.

I do only enter competitions for things that I really want or need, but that still makes a fair few every day, including all the magazines like Real People, Take a Break, etc. I've won from Real People a couple of times in the past, £25 and a £100 cinema gift card (in an advent competition).

Has anyone else ever fallen into such a long period with no wins? Anything you've done, from the practical to the superstitious, to help things along?

Well you might find this a bit strange but I swear by my blessing coin that was given to me last year by a Hedge witch. You have to keep it with you, not in a drawer on it's own for those who believe.

Well I guess I was just fortunate to meet one. I did a good turn for someone I didn't know and it turned out they were a Hedge Witch and then they gave me the Blessing Coin. But you can google it to find out more. The person I met works in hospitals and hospices providing comfort to patients who are there.

Diversify the type of competitions you enter. There are often purchase comps out there with hundreds of winners. Current examples would be kit kat or aqua fresh. Or try the asda/Tesco soup mugs comp! A small win might be all you need to get back on track.
