Affordable Drugstore SLS Free Body Wash

Options
Hi there,

Apologies if I am posting incorrectly but I wanted some recommendations on sls free body wash that I could easily buy from superdrug/boots as my skin has been very dry and flaky recently. It seems to be really difficult to find any here in UK and I find it really confusing as apparently there's different versions of sulphates?! I'm a bit clueless so any advice would be great!

  • Holland and barrett have loads of items in the dr organic range and jason range.
  • I wouldn't waste time looking in Boots or Superdrug for that sort of thing as I don't think they tend to stock them. A health food shop is a better bet or find a brand you like and order off Amazon. None of them will be as cheap as Boots or Superdrug's cheapest offering I am afraid.

I like Faith In Nature - about £5-£6 for a 400ml bottle. Dr Organic from Holland & Barratt you can often get offers on in their penny sale.

Be careful, a lot of brands that like to pretend to be "natural" still have SLS - e.g. most Body Shop products and Lush one too.
  • That is a real shame, i really hoped i could get some at boots or superdrug, but i will look into faith in nature, sounds good, especially with their sales. Another question, I saw the dove pro age body wash get recommended in some places, is this possibly sulphate free?

Another place to look would be 'Beauty Naturals' website (Martha Hill) most of their products are cruelty free, vegan friendly etc. Free postage. They have a loyalty scheme too.
You could always phone them or e-mail for advice.

Boots stocks some of the Weleda baby range, including a body wash/shampoo. It's really nice and gentle. I'm not sure if it's just the larger shops but I've seen it in several branches with other baby toiletries. The Burt's Bees baby wash is also lovely, although I'm not sure it's quite as free of nasty stuff as Weleda.
