Am I due any tax back?

in Cutting tax
I have finished working for one company on 18 November 2016 snd will be starting my next employment tomorrow. In between I was on JSA.
My understanding is that the tax free yearly allowance is split in to 12 parts and is partly used every month of the tax year. SO based on this hence I was out of work since November would this mean I have overpayed income tax and due some back?

Easy enough to work out - how much did you earn in 2016 and how much tax have you paid so far?0

Did you hand your P45, from the job that ended in November 2016, to DWP when you claimed JSA?0

This is the key question, if you did hand your P45 in then any overpayment will have already been returned to you along with your JSA payments (that's if you've actually had any money yet, on a couple of the few occasions when I claimed it took several months for DWP to get round to paying me, once it all came the same week as I started my new job!).0 -
No. I did not have my P45 at the time of applyng for the JSA.0
