Hope you feel a bit brighter soon TOPM - hopefully your referral doesn't take too long to come through and your mind is eased by someone with a better bedside manner!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Sorry to hear about your unsympathetic doctor... at least you're being referred which will hopefully give you some peace of mind (and a doc with a better bedside manner, i hope!).
In the mean time, try not to think about it too much. I know that I'm guilty of letting my mind run away with me, so hope you can contain that.CC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

So sorry you've had a rubbish day TOPM. If it's any consolation I had this a few years back. Very similar situation with GP. Although I had an appointment at the hospital very quickly. Lots of pulling and prodding it turned out I had a blocked milk duct that had become infected. Nothing sinister found.
Hopefully they will see you quickly and put your mind at rest

What a day. Have hardly really thought about MSE stuff. NSD, but have eaten half the children's chocolate treat stash for after swimming on Friday, so will need to replace that at some stage. :embarasse
Have also had a fairly crap day work-wise as my mind has (shockingly) not been entirely on the job.
I'm trying to stay zen about my health, aware that there is about a 90% chance everything is fine, but it is really making me realise that when people say their debt is manageable and all the long termers on here say 'only until you have a hiccup that affects your earning potential', they really do have a point. If for any reason I am unable to work, or do childcare (so DH has a problem working), for any period, we really are up the proverbial creek without a paddle. Even more incentive to keep paying the debt down (assuming all is fine at this juncture. Please let it all be fine) as it has made me realise how incredibly vulnerable we are to earnings issues.
To do today:
1. Bake bread again (will put the starter in the fridge for a week once this loaf is done, as I've got a couple of loaves in the freezer now! Done. We are well stocked now.
2. Knit socks - will take them to doc's and hopefully knit in the waiting room. Did a little more.
3. Do a laundry this morning and get it out on the line - the forecast is a bit cloudy but it should still dry. Already done this!
4. NSD (this means resisting temptation on way to doc with Child 3!). Done!
5. Keep on catching up with the next chunk of work/life admin. Did a bit more, not as much as I should have.
6. Check valued opinions for surveys. Did some earlier, meant to check again but forgot.
7. Batch cooking. Not done.
8. Take packed lunch for doctor's for Child 3 to further avoid shopping temptation (appointment is at midday and it's a half hour walk each way, so she'll be hungry at some stage). Done!
To do this week:
1. List old unloved handbag on eb@y.
2. Order birthday presents for child 2 and child 3.
3. Order any party supplies needed.
4. Make more candles when oils arrive.
5. Finish current socks and start knitting a new pair for my dad's birthday.
6. Pay preschool bill (there should only be one more, smallish, bill after this one, then free hours kick in. Hurrah!).Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.

Really sorry to read your news. I'd be scared too. A friend of mine found a lump a while back and had to go through the whole referral thing. Some how the lump disappeared on its own before the consultation happened." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hope the appointment comes through quickly and everything is fine. I have had 2 lumps in the past - like Bobarella's friend, one just went, the other was a sodium ball that took lots of screening shots and a mammogram to come to a conclusion. Lots of lumps are annoying things sent to worry us.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220

Thanks for all the supportive words everyone. I'm trying to remind myself of the stats (90% chance everything will prove to be fine at the breast clinic) and stop getting my knickers in a twist. Hope the clinic date comes through today though - they said I'd get a call within two days yesterday lunchtime. Besides, it's not like the NHS is totally overstretched or anything, right?Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
