Downloading one's entire library sounds like the work of a lifetime. :D Well done :)

  • Week 36: Day 3

Morning! Off to my contracted working day today, where hopefully I will get more information on how to move forwards with last week's work drama.

Have also realised that before I leave I need to make dinner for my mum to give the DCs later, so slightly hectic morning! Not going to add anything else to my list and stress myself out.

Cumbria lass we need to send the mortgage broker various bits of information, some of which needs to come from my accountant, so won't be any progress there for at least a few days until my accountant sends over what I need.

    To do today
    1. make dinner for DCs
    2. make flapjacks for DCs snacks
    3. packed lunch to take to work.

    To do this week
    1. Continue to plan Christmas gifts.
    2. Plant hyacinth bulbs. Done.
    3. Charity shop trawl for stocking fillers and hyacinth planters. Done.
    4. Library ebooks. Done. workds on DC1's mp3 player and my phone, hurrah!

    To do this month
    1. keep the total spend for the month below £3,500. Currently budgeted at £3,439.
    2. work a sensible number of hours, even if it means slower progress on the work and debt front. September was rubbish. This is going well so far.
    3. make any homemade Christmas gifts.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • Morning Topm,
I'm just doing my bake off prep for tonight and the signature bake is a 'Clanger' a Bedfordshire pasty that is savoury at one end and sweet at the other.
Made from scratch, it's a suet pastry, but I'm going to cheat and buy a block of puff pastry to make them from.
I thought they might make a good lunch item or even 'car picnic' item, and also a
    Way of using up left
    Over bits and bobs.

I guess if you get the mortgage sorted and if DH gets his pay rise you can do new SOA and see where you are for the start of the new year.

Hope your day went some way to sorting out last weeks work drama .

  • Knackered from work, but pleased to report I had a really positive meeting today and HUGE weight has been lifted regarding my medium term business plans (was basically expecting to be told I would lose a contract if I did X and would only keep it if I stuck to doing Y, but the people who pay me are very happy for me to do X if I need to. I know that's very vague, but it's good news for me and my business and the new website). So it's smiley faces all round at TOPM Towers this evening.
