Still plodding along and continuing to overpay regularly, getting some double glazed windows soon so will need to cut back a bit more for that, checking all my insurances etc to get the cheapest and watching my spends daily

Good luck on budgeting well everyone

Last night I’ve printed out all direct debits and have had a rethink about what I can cut back on, first thing to cut back in in internet phone telly package I’ve got with Virgin, it’s over £60 a month, I don’t even have the phone plugged in, but being an absolute technophobe I’m not sure what I need

I’ve also saved £30 a month now my phones not in contract anymore so I have changed to a sim only deal on a monthly contract until I need a new phone the deal ended up being £13 a month so happy with that, and hopefully the phone lasts a another year

That’s another £30 to add in

Got declined for an interest free load from. Energy scotland for the windows so will speak as my credit reports is good, checked it with credit karma as instructed and can sent the report in 7 days

In a perfect world I’d have the windows before Christmas and going from single pane to double glazed will save my heating bills, currently feeling the weathers so cold so heatings on a lot more and I’ve a bad chest infection

Quite looking forward to Christmas even if I spend money with gifts etc, will just be sensible and have the family over for Christmas Day

  • The cost savings are always a good feeling, aren't they? We too have cut our cable and now just do a streaming service plus Netflix. And by a miracle, our health insurance premium next year will actually be lower. Even with the higher deductible, we will just take out the difference of what we paid this year and put it in the medical pot for Dr's visits, co-pays, etc. Enjoy your meal planning and cooking.
