I thought you can already use the pension fund to pay for advice tax free anyway? I paid for last advice from an IFA when they transferred the pension fund to the cheaper pension company. So the point is rather moot anyway?0

You can already use the pension fund to pay for advice on that specific pension fund.
This new allowance lets you use money in one pension fund to pay for advice on your retirement income more broadly, incorporating other investments. HMRC didn't let that happen previously.0 -
