I have been avoiding my debys for the past two years, I owe Natwest nearly £3,000 its gotten so bad that I wasn't able to be employed.
Anyway, I now have a job and I wanted to know the best way to go about contacting Natwest, or whoever the debt is with now because I want to pay it back and get rid of this awful credit rating of mine!

Hello and welcome to the boards! Congrats on the new job and I hope you enjoy it.
It may be worth trying to settle the debt with a full and final settlement offer, ie offering them 2000 pounds and hoping they accept.
How was the money borrowed (credit card/loan?) and are you able to offer a lump sum to pay it off?Debt Free - done
Mortgage Free - done

Could you contact Natwest with the acc details and just ask where the debt is now - if with them, disucss possible repayments, if not find out and take it from there - let us know how you get on! Well done on getting the job and wanting to sort it all out
