B&Q Trade Card + Gift Card

Hi Everyone,

I have checked the terms of both the trade card and gift cards that B&Q offer and nothing explicitly says that you cant, but i thought i would ask here in case anyone had experience of doing this...

... Can you pay a trade card bill with a B&Q gift card?

A staff benefit gets me 10% off B&Q gift cards which i would like to make the most of if it will let me!

A B&Q gift card can be used as payment in store with a TradePoint trade discount.


If you have a trade account with Trade UK and want to use your gift card to pay your monthly statement, then I don't know but I think it very unlikely. If this was possible then this would allow the B&Q gift card to pay for purchases at Screwfix.

I saw this on the application form;

5. You will be sent an invoice for each purchase and, unless we otherwise agree with you in writing, payment must be made by the last day of the month following the month in which the purchase was made.

Any payment to us must be in Pounds Sterling by way of credit card,
direct debit, cheque, BACS, Faster Payments or CHAPS or as otherwise notified by us to you.
