AlfieBlue, thank you for the lovely compliment about the Amazon pans review. I used to think Amazon must have liked my style too, or they wouldn't have asked me to review for them, but tbh, none of us in the review group really know why we were picked.

I think the secret to a 'good' review is pretty straightforward. You ask yourself what it is you would want to know before buying it. If there are any shortcomings you point them out, likewise anything outstandingly good. How does it compare with similar products, if they are available?

Reviews can be highly subjective of course. Sometimes I read one which makes me annoyed, though, not all reviewers work to a high standard (hence the comment about not knowing why we were picked!).
I have a lovely Kipling Beonica fabric handbag I was sent to review a few years ago.
A fellow reviewer criticised the handbag and gave it three stars for not being leather, despite the description clearly stating it was fabric... Now that's a bad review, in my book...
    Sigh.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Well done Firefly on win. Think you are majking a good choice. Had a smile about Alfie's suggestion ok if you are raving it up.

Great you have won one of your own postings. Thanks for all your sharing.

Hearing about that review of fabric bag McCulloch I'd feel the same.

Morning everyone. Quite mild here, a few clouds overhead but no rain. Got a day of cooking ahead as DS wants some lasagne, soup and cottage pie for his freezer so that when kids come in from school and DIL is working her mum and SIL can get something quick for them. When they come to me I just cook lol. Although my freezer is going down a bit so may do some for myself. Hope everyone is well. Be lucky.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok on this glorious Thursday. :)

I was expecting a cloudy start to the day here (according
to the weather forecast) but once again it's a most
beautiful morning and the sun is shining away at the mo. :D

smileys-household-294372.gif It was soooo boring but at least it's done now and

I agree with you wholeheartedly re reviews mcculloch29. :T
I find some so annoying especially if the 'reviewer' has
only written: 'it does what it says on the box' or similar
    wording! :wall:

Well must crack on cos got another busy day gardening. :D

Morning all. It's fine but cold again here this morning.

Pleased you had a great weekend Alfie and family were able to help you. Well done on catching up with ironing. For a change we have lots of ironing waiting to be done.

Well I managed a straight run of about five hours sleep last night. So things are looking up.

Rose you are great doing all the cooking, made me feel hungry thinking about your dishes. Here it's going to be down to DHs cooking for a while still.

Sheils hope weather holds for you have a safe journey and enjoy meeting up with Becks.

Hope everyone passing through has a great and lucky day.
