DBS check

My friend has a conviction for false representation 5 years ago. He has a job where no DBS was needed (after the conviction) but wants to apply for other jobs within the NHS and most likely a DBS is needed. Can you tell me what will show up on a standard DBS check or will this be wiped out at 6 years
Just about to give up!

If it was a conviction rather than a caution it will show up for at least 11 years unless he was under 18 at the time:

If the jobs he wants to apply for allow him to come in to contact with patients he won't have a standard check it will be enhanced where cautions and convictions are never spent and will always show up. His best bet is to be upfront about it prior to applying/interview, openness and honesty is a key attribute recruiters look for in the NHS so just because there is something on the DBS wouldn't automatically rule him outAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

In my brief stint in the NHS we hired a student nurse who had a conviction for drink driving. He was up front about it in the interview and it definitely reflects well. So you're friend shouldn't lose hope, but they should certainly be honest.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

The exact sentence given will also make a difference as to when a conviction is spend and whether it can be filtered.0
