renewing monthly direct debits - will this affect mortgage application?

We are hoping to put in a mortgage application soon (We have a DIP) and Im wondering if taking out new Home insurance (monthly, with a different company) will have an effect? It expires in 2 weeks. Am i best paying it outright? Or will the direct debit not affect things?

We will also have similar in April when our car tax renews, we pay it monthly as its 0% interest.

Can someone shed some light please :)
