Hi can I ask a question please.
It is now around 7 weeks since I became bankrupt and I have had constant phone calls from my creditors - I rarely answer the phone - old habits die hard - I do 1471 when I get home and it is always either barclaycard, Mbna or one of the others - My bank still send me statements despite me openining anew account with another bank - they even paid and uncancelled direct debit a week ago and just put me even more overdrawn - I have spoken to MBNA loans and Mbna credit card today and there is no record at all of my bankruptcy - also GE money today who had to check on the internet of my bankruptcy - I called them after I received a letter saying they would pass my debt onto a collection agency - it just goes on and on and on - my OR seems to have simply been very quick in getting me to send statements etc showing him where my debts went etc and sorting out paying my income tax to them and also to reclaim back car expenses used for work from the inland revenue for them - but I am wondering what on earth he has done for me because none of my creditors have any record whatsoever of my bankruptcy...I wonder what will happen next - maybe another creditor will send somebody to knock on my door - I can still access my old bank account online - Is this usual at all.
I hope that all are doing okay - many thanks

Creditors saying that their is no record of your bankruptcy are talking rubbish.
Have you checked that you have appeared on the insolvency register?
Here: http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/
Have you checked that the details of your case have appeared in the London Gazette?
Here: http://beta.gazettes-online.co.uk/AdvancedSearch.aspx?geotype=London
The details of your bankruptcy Judgement will also have been recorded by the Registry Trust.
Have you read this thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=559869
Are you telling your OR about any contact that creditors are making with you? Are you forwarding any correspondence on to your OR?
As said in the other thread; you are bankrupt; it is a matter of public record; creditors know how to check (and are bullsh1tting if they say they don't); they no longer have the slightest excuse to harass you.
EDIT: bank accounts can quite often appear active until you are discharged. Unless you have been given explicit permission by the OR to use an account you must not touch it.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
