Objecting to Transfer under TUPE

I've been informed that my employment is due to be TUPE'd to another company at the start of April. However, I have no interest in working for this other company and have instead found another job.
I've been trying to find guidance on what happens if you object to a transfer under TUPE and I understand that this is considered to be the employee resigning with effect from the date of transfer rather than being made redundant.
My question is whether there would be a requirement for me to work my notice period or if my employment would automatically come to an end on the date of transfer?
Thanks!
