Focus DIY 90%+ discount on some stock

My friend phoned me tonight to ask if i wanted any of the bargains she had spotted at Focus. Couldnt believe the prices of some of the stuff. Here are some of them that i had and remember her seeing.

BIggest bargain was a stainless steel 1 1/2 bowl sink inc taps, fittings, pipes etc £5, yes £5. The one i currently have cost me over £100 and if you look on the focus site thats how much they show for on there.
Glass look crystal ball style finials for curtain poles or tie back holders 25p for a pack of 2. Also metal twist styles available.
Xmas trees fibre optic about 2 feet tall very nice, £1, was £10.
Light up xmas sign for window £1, was £10.
Xmas tree with all decorations about 18-24" tall £1, was £10.

I still cant believe the bargain price of the sinks. I did say no to her to start with then when i stood looking at mine i remembered my taps need replacing so was worth £5 just for the taps. There were other bargains but cant think what they were.

This was at the Kings Lynn store which is not closing down. Wether there are these sort of bargains at other stores im not sure but certainly worth looking out for.

Thanks for your post - called at Focus today (one on the closing down list ) and all fans were 75% off, some hoovers between 35 & 64% off and some power tools 55% off.

Staff said they were reducing things every day and expected store to close around xmas time. but not sure.

The store has a 10% throughout but lots of stuff with 20%,55%,75% off.

Im going back saturday to have another look around.

Got a 204 piece drilll and screwdriver set today for £15.74 - comes in a case a little larger than a drill case. Also had a hammer drill for £12.74 810w ( I think ) make Mckeller (better take OH with me )
Royal doulton dinner service - plain white £35 was £100

ooops nearly forgot large air con units are 49.99 reduced from 199 - good if your looking for 1.
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T

and they had a few bargains left but not much.
    :xmastree:
My friend and I each bought the last 2 (1 each)
'Outdoor snowflake rope light-55cms' reduced from £24.99 to £3.00.:xmassmile
They also had about 20 pink :xmastree: Trees (I think they were 1.2metre)
They had card holders reduced to 25p.

There were also loads of Venechian  (horizontal) Blinds, Pull down Black-out Blinds and Curtain poles reduced to £2, £3 and £5.
There were other bits and pieces, but we were running late :whistle:for picking kids up from school so had to look very quickly.

  • Stores are taking in stock from the stores closing down. We paid £5 a pack for laminate flooring which should have been £43.50 a pack! Needless to say we took the lot ;) . We bought 25 packs for £125 which would have been £1087, then we got 25% discount as our daughter works there :D .
You have to look in every other day as the stock coming in goes very quickly.
Still got the other sink unit in the back of the car ready to be fitted later in the week.
  • Shame the chatsword is only 60% off.........there about 75% too expensive....... our puppy scratched a draw so 88 pounds is a little expensive for 1 draw front :(

There is another thread with a link of which stores are closing down. Just do a search for focus and it will show up. As in our case though you dont have to have a store nearby that is closing to grab the bargains because ours isnt and it still has lots of bargains.

  • Just been to the one in Bolton and came away with the following,
BBQ for £15 should have been £70
2 Tower fans for £6.24 each should have been £24.99 each
BBQ set for £3.50 should have been £8
2 Large inflatable football seats for £2 each should have been £10 each
2 large bags of charcoal for £2

I must admit though it seemed that the main discounts were on stock that was summer orientated.
