Holiday pay / entitlement for Bank staff

Evening all,

Just a quick question. I am a HCA for a private care company, I am a bank worker and wanted to know if I am entitled to holidays / holiday pay, or if like Bank staff from the NHS get paid a percentage to compensate for this. I have read through all the documentation I have but can't find any reference to it?

Bank staff in NHS (at least the trust I'm in) don't get paid a percentage to cover it but accrue it as we go along - then claim it when you wish

If holiday pay is 'rolled up', ie paid as you go along, then legally that must be stated on your payslips.

so assuming that's NOT the case, ask how you go about taking holiday / claiming holiday pay. Because there is very likely a holiday year, and if you don't take your holiday within that year, you probably can't carry it forward.

definitely no mention of holiday pay on my payslips, I never questioned it as I was bank, just thought I wouldn't be entitled, but after speaking with other bank staff from different backgrounds I thought I better check.
