Sainsbury's 25% off wine offer and other wine offers?

Hi there,

I'm planning for a wedding and to avoid all the (arguably) more important things I've put my mind to the booze.

I was thinking the Sainsbury's 25% off 6 bottles of wine deal might be a perfect option to stock up but obviously I've just missed the last one. Does anyone know how regularly they run these things and when it's likely to come back as a promotion?

I'd also be very grateful for any advice on the best/cheapest way to go about stocking the bar for the wedding. It's in August.

Many thanks in advance.

I would say consider Costco for stocking the bar, but actually their alcohol has become a lot more expensive lately. I've found cheap, branded booze on Amazon e.g. 70cl of Disaronno amaretto for £16 (under £23 per litre).

For wine, I'm afraid I don't know but I'd say be open to Tesco as well, as they do that offer too together with their brand match thing and clubcard points.

What I did for my wedding was use Virgin wines. You get £60 off vouchers everywhere on the internet. Got my husband to do the same, ordered all our prosecco for right after the ceremony via them divided up over 2 new accounts. I don't remember if I had to become a member or not, but you can cancel anytime. You can do the same via Nakes wines, just google for vouchers. Made our wine much cheaper :D

You also have a bit of time so keep your eye out on promotions for cheapie bottles of gin and whiskey.

Also Groupon do good wine deals, I just got 16 bottles for £59 Rioja and they were very drinkable.

Last but not least, Lidle and Aldi do pretty good wines for cheap. Just get yourself some test bottles and have a fun weekend tasting. You could even make a little event of it with friends and family.
