Hi,
I have been mortgage free for about 4 years and in the market for a new mortgage. I am constatnly being advised by the estate agents to use their mortgage advisers as they can get deals that aren't out there. I just wanted to gauge people's experiences on this. or is this best that i use an independent broker.
Many Thanks

It's a load of nonsense and bias to maximize on the commission the company can make. Seek any broker with a good reputation who is whole of the market.
Don't let them threaten you either with having to use their own brokers, as this is wrong and illegal.I am a Mortgage Broker.

Most brokers do have access to exclusive/semi exclusive deals. But I would still not use an estate agents broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
