I didnt have a solicitor, I couldnt afford one, he paid £15,000 for his solicitor. I probably could of got legal aid but I didnt realise that at the time. I didnt attend court or anything, the judge signed everything on my behalf and gave him exactly what he wanted....id give anything to go back now and do it all over0

You had no solicitor representation during divorce, when you had children and property - and were ageeeing to give the property away... the judge should have flagged that up!
What does your Consent Order actually SAY? Do you have a Consent Order in place? It's the bit that details the financial terms, usually before your decree absolute - though still possible to do it afterwards I believe.
It would be common for the CO to specify how long you would stay on the mortgage, or at least contain a part saying he will make every effort to move you when possible - which is your chance to take him back to court.
If by any chance you don't have a CO, you may be able to renegotiate all of this - but you should do it before he remarries.
I appreciate that you were in a bad place during the divorce, but you simply can't make the same mistake twice, with not taking legal advice.
This forum is all very well - myself included! - but you need legal advice on this.0 -
Oh and you wouldn't have got legal aid on your timescale of 2.5 years ago with proven record of domestic violence. It had been cut back for divorce a while before then.0
