Hi doodledo (great name
)! As others have said, you have a good income so can make really good inroads into your debt relatively easily. Try using this to think about the running costs of your cars:

If this doesn't help you decide to downgrade nothing will!!
Good luck.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi,:D
Well done on having your LBM and deciding to sort out your debts. :T
Am not sure if anyone has mentioned this but have you tried snowballing your debts on www.whatsthecost.com ?
I found it a great way to put my debts into perspective and to work out which ones to attack first.
Also, are you tied into mobile phone contracts or is there scope to change?
As was said earlier you could try pay as you go or shop around - some companies like 3 or t-mobile offer quite good packages at the moment where for approx £20 a month you get a lot of free minutes (usually to any network and landlines) and text messages.

I know this is a while away, but regarding pre-school payments you are entitled to 5 free sessions a week from the term after your daughter turns three.

Well done doodledo. My previous post was to make sure you had got the point, and you have. Adopting a moneysaving ethos means completely changing your attitude to money. It is amazing the enlightenment following this path affords. Once you have cleared the debt, and are living within your means, then 'extravagant' extras, be they cars, clothes or holidays are fine. As Martin says this site is not about cutting back, but about cutting bills. Then the money saved can be put to better uses.
Hope this site does as much for you as it did for me. Five years ago I was in your position. Now I have no personal debt (a mortgage 10% of the property value) or credit cards, and generally enjoy life more when I was throwing the gold card around.
Good luck and keep it up!Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0
