what happens if you are taken to small claims

Long story but my neighbour is taking me to the small claims for £3200

What will happen????

if i am found that I have to pay her the money what will happen as I dont have a penny to my name??

any advice would be great.

If she decides to issue a claim against you, then you will receive a claim form from the court which will gove you the opportunity to defend the claim if you dont agree you owe her the money or to admit the claim. If you defend the claim it will usually proceed to a hearing and then a judge will decide whether the claim is valid. At different stages through the process you will get the opportunity to make an offer of monthly or weekly payments.

Before bailiffs could attend you would need to be in default of any court order made. So for example if you were to pay £20.00 per month and you didnt pay she could then request a warrant to be issued.
