Finally got around to creating an SOA and am quite surprised that using just gut-feeling it comes out with about what I expected. The overpayment to the mortgage was £300 (which I've just cancelled) and we just about broke even every month.
Maybe I've got a better instinctive feel of the family finances than I thought!
