Tesco Bank - can't have more than one current account

The latest MSE email suggests you can open 2 Tescos Bank current accounts and thereby get 3% interest on £6000. However, their online application process states you are not eligible for an account if you have one already.

Ah...just read their criteria more carefully:
"You do not have more than one current account with Tesco Bank already."

So if you have just the one then it is ok! My mistake

Yes it was . Many of us have two of these accounts, my second has just been opened and I finished transferring the full £3000 into it this morning.

The reason being that the thread title (being a statement) is wrong.

It therefore means people waste their time coming into a thread which is nonsense.

I am aware that many people have two Tesco current accounts.

This does not mean the thread title is "wrong", it is simply a report of the OP's experience.

It is also my experience.

I only have one Tesco current account and I am unable to open a second one online, because it says I already have TWO current accounts (which I don't)

Surely, everyone in the country must be trying to open at least one of these accounts. 3% is not to be sniffed at, esp. with so few conditions. I wonder when Tesco will call time?
