Thanks for you help windsofchange I am certainly not putting my head in the sand , I have rang the letting agent 3 times now and been very upfront about it. Hoping tomorrow will result in an answer from landlord.
If you take notice of those programs you will realise that the debtors owe, on average, a year or mores worth of back rent.
You have not even been taken to court yet, you are a long way off this senario.
keep in touch with your landlord, explain your situation to them, I'm sure they will be reasonable over one late payment.

Eviction is not immediate so any action your landlord will take would take time. The problem is as EH has said that this month you will need to make two months payments out of one pay check. Yes he probably will be peeved as he probably has a mortgage to pay but if you don't have the money there is little he can do except sit tight and wait until you get paid. Can you not use the £50 towards it your friend lent you as a goodwill gesture? I think you need to be at least two month's behind before the Landlord can even start proceedings, and they take months (and stop if you pay the rent back). The thing to do is to be clear with your landlord about your issues and present him with a clear and reasonable plan for paying back the debt, so he knows you're not going to do a runner on him. Also get in touch with your DMP provider and tell them that you've got a problem with your rent, and you may need to recalculate the plan (you might even be able to add the rent arrears to it, but I suspect the landlord won't agree to that).Mortgage

I'm a landlord and from my point of view if you have been a good tenant for 4 years and you contacted me and told me there was a problem with a plan of how you would pay it back, an overpayment for the next few months, then I would accept that. If you didn't let me know, made no effort to pay what you owe and avoided speaking to me I would be looking at giving you notice to go, are you on a rolling tenancy? Do you know how much notice you would be entitled to?Sell £1500

This doesn't help with the immediate problem but going forward it's probably best to rearrange the date of your rent payment to coincide with the day you are paid so it's your top priority.
Is there any chance of getting a part time job? I spent my 20s working in a nightclub for my 'pocket money' while my wages from my day job covered my mortgage and bills.
Even if you don't want to work a second job all the time it would get you through next month when you have to pay two months rent. Consider waiting tables at hotels that do events (they often use agency staff for this so google for agencies in your area.)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

If you ignore that the landlord may then wish to go down the court route to gain a writ of possession. You may then get a visit from Channel 4 and Paul Bohill 6 months or so down the line, and you will be on the next series of can't pay we'll take it away.

you need to be in excess of 2 full month's rent arrears in order for notice to be served for arrears. You should speak to your landlord about the situation and agree the best way forward. If you are a good long term tenant then they will want to keep you. You may need to revisit the terms of your dmp/extend the period before you start so you can deal with this. Good luck and don't panicDF as at 30/12/16

Hi there, sorry to hear about your predicament it's awful when there's no money and no-one to turn to.
I can see you're planning to pay this months rent on 27th when you get paid and just wanted to check how this will affect you paying next months rent which is presumably due out of the same pay check?
If so, can you afford to pay two months rent from one pay check? If not be careful what you agree to with your landlord regarding repayment. Perhaps agree to repay A % of February's rent over the next 4 months?
I may have misread the situation but wanted to point this out just in case as a big problem if mine is to agree to repayment schedules that only put me in difficulty the next month... then the next..... then the next0
