Oh no poor DH, hope he gets sorted soon and you get some rest tomorrow when your little one is at school x

Thanks Emmie, Unfortunately I work during school hours Mon-Fri 915am-2.45pm. Not complaining as I can take her and pick her up from school daily but I do miss the 'time out'.

Bob thanks for the concern for DH.

He had his op yesterday evening, got home around 10pm. He cut through nearly all the tendons in the top of his thumb and they sewed them back together. 3 weeks in plaster, then 3 weeks in a splint. He will need 8 weeks off work!!! His hand is in half plaster and lots of bandage. He is in a lot of pain but he is the sort of person that can't sit still and needs to be busy. I had to wash his hair for him over the sink this morning and cut up his pork chop at tea time.......poor boy I tryed my best not to laugh!

Oh no poor thing. Will it effect you financially while he is off, all the paramedics I know do loads of overtime.
Hopefully you can have an early night tonight, the sort where you get lots of sleep, not the other type:rotfl:

He won't get his unsocial pay but we can cope with that. He does a little bit of overtime, he does 12 hr shifts so has lots of rest days. He will only do maybe 2 a month sometimes more in winter.

Not a good week here really, I've had a speeding fine!! I don't speed (obviously I do as I've been fined) I don't normally speed this happened on the way back from dropping DH in hospital for his operation, caught on the motorway doing 59 in a 50mph. I'm gutted as the fines have changed and they take a % of your weekly pay. I'm hoping I can go on a speed awareness course instead which hopefully will be a reduced fine. Then DH's car failed it's MOT so that was £140 and we now have wardrobes 1 for DD and 2 for us = £600 but they are nice and lots of space in them, I never thought ikea furniture was so nice and sturdy! So a spendy week and all our savings have gone (except £2000 put away in another account for when the builder finishes off some jobs).

It really is a beautiful sunny Welsh day but forcast has given rain this evening so washing is already on line, husband still has a plastered hand but still busy doing stuff, I just let him carry on.

Oh well better get back to it. Catch up later when DH does bed time. Xx

What a week!! Hope things start to look up a bit.
Ikea wardrobes are the best, I am well overdue an ikea trip I just don't trust myself as there is too much temptation!

Taken a few days off work this week just to catch up. That's the only problem when I work school hours I'm always with the little one and trying to sort out boxes etc it becomes a game for her and nothing gets done. So I've organised the wardrobes, ours and dd. Clothes sorted and either in charity bag or put neatly away. Bathroom organised and clean. I put lots of stuff on the buy and sell site and so far made £72 this month. I thought it was good but hubby moans that I put things too low. I just want them gone to be honest.

When I move from the sofa I'm going to make a avocado and banana smoothie. Not used avocados before. Bought them in lid*.

Will pick up little one from school in an hour. I need to spend time with her, she is amazing but the last few weeks she has spent too much time playing on her own because we've been busy sorting the house out. Walk to the park and a wander through the woods to look for the gruffalo I think.

    See ya later

Well hello Diary. Where have you been? I NEED YOU!!

So it's been 6 months since I was last here.

The house is lovely, garden is all done and looks fab.

We still had lots of workmen around until a couple of weeks ago. Had log burner installed. Took all day as there was a huge birds nest stuck in the chimney which wouldn't move!!

Christmas is around the corner, little one is so excited (so am i) The elf has decided to spend all of December with us which is hard work actually. We have 10 for Xmas dinner. The whole family decided to invite themselves!!!

Money is awful actually. DH's car broke down yesterday and it's terminal. We have no savings anymore so looks like we are going to have to borrow money for a car. DH will look into everything tomorrow.

Not going to list debt until new year. Then everything is going to be written down and a plan will be hatched

    Hope everyone is well. Q

This is as close as I can get. I have probably missed loads off.

So it all looks doable. We can do this, we just need to know where our money goes.
