Any comments please?
I can't spend more than, say, £75, and so would appreciate any recommendations on the lower end of the market from people who have them. I don't mind waiting a while for a dearer one to come up on offer, so maybe currently up to about £100.00.
Must have detachable water tank.
Many thanks.

I didnt pay that much for it though, I paid £100 just before Christmas.
Things to consider:
How many Bar or pressure does it have
How big is the water tank
Has it got a descale option
Can you do upright steaming (if you require that)I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. That looks super - I have a feeling though that it might remain on my wish list for some considerable time before it comes down to my budget, but your advice is much appreciated. I do now have more of an idea of what I should be looking for, so I can measure anything else I'm looking at against this one.

Keep an eye out for offers in Aldi. My daughter got me a tefal steam generator iron for £60. It's not the top model but it does the job. Also look on Amazon, they have a good range on there.0

Well, I've been fortunate enough to find a bargain on Gumtree. A very little-used Tefal Pro Express, together with the special ironing board for £45! It's as good as new, and although not the very latest model, what a revelation - a pair of jeans took me a couple of minutes instead of 10. I'm already hooked even after just one ironing session!0
