Talks of incentivising Landlords for 3-5 year contracts with promises to make all housing 'more affordable'. Also talks of punishing bad landlords more and people sitting on land which could be developed and general Aim to end to increasd owner occupation with all new effort to build property's to rent. I think this whole housing is broken is a welcome slogan but the white paper is essentially devoid of any real policy. It does set the scene though that house price increases etc are out of control and I think this is the tories getting in first this time before a correction occurs tbh as last time the govt claimed not to have seen the crisis coming but this time we are being warned. Otherwise what is the point of it as nothing has really changed
