Hi folks,
There are over 20m PPI policies in the UK and its a £5bn a year industry; yet I believe a very substantial proportion of those were missold and I want to spread the word. We need to make PPI reclaiming as big as bank charges reclaiming and Mortgage Exit Fee reclaiming.
I need your help
To spread the word, I need case studies, people who've succeeded and are willing to appear in Newspaper and/or on TV to tell their story to encourage others to take on the banks and reclaim.
If you're willing to do this, please e-mail casestudy@moneysavingexpert.com. If you do, some quick details of who your case was with, whether you used the sites template letter, how long it took and how much you got back would be fantastic! Of course also please report it in the site PPI reclaiming successes thread
Thanks
Martin

HI I just read the notice about how the site was crashed...and i decided that as the union president at a factory with 500+ workers and my own notice board, i would make a notice out with your website details and all about claiming PPI and exit fees . Hope this goes someway to getting the bas***** back!!!

Martin I watched your programme with interest and I believe the idea that people have been trained to say "fully protected" is very accurate and no option of not taking it would have been given. It had always been my opinion that PPI threads were ones where memories would be altered and individual members of staff would be sacked. Having spoken to a few people with regards to your programme I am of the opinion that while individual people may have not said optional cover it was bank policies driving it and NOT as some may blame, bonus payments and targets. I believe that even though NatWest, the bank I work for, introduced what is called a duty of care checklist, that many of the facts on the form which is there to protect customers from misselling has actually been completed either while the customer has not been with the personal banker, to use a generic term, or was completed shoddily and poorly. I have been converted that the bank is indeed guilty of PPI misselling and that a number of people have signed up for something which they were doomed to be something that was unclaimable.
Martin, a good programme and you converted me as an insider and sceptic. THe former is still true for the moment while the latter is not.0
