I won a large meat hamper on 5th December on TW which was never delivered. I have contacted the person running the competition about four times and she has told me the company providing the prize first said they had sent it out, then they could not yet because they were moving warehouse, and now are just not answering emails. I have been very polite and patient but today she suggested I take over trying to email the supplier but it is not my responsibility she ran the comp!!!!!! Grrrrrrr..... I am now at the stage I want to start publicly criticising them both on TW and filing an official complaint. So annoyed!:mad::mad::mad:

Having to chase prizes is the pits, you have my sympathies. You feel like a second class citizen and the sweetness of a win quickly dissolves to form a bitter taste in the mouth.

complain to asa as soon as possible! i hate chasing prizes and this sounds terrible. also an open public tweet askingwhere the prize is always helps..

Thanks, problem is I don't mind kicking up a fuss if it is a company but when it is just an average person doing a blog from their home you feel bad for having a go at them. But if they are going to run competitions they should take responsibility if things go wrong.

I reported a small win, that did not arrive, to the ASA. Sent them all my evidence and they sorted it really, really quickly. I wasn't devastated about not getting the prize but I was annoyed at being lied to and seeing them go on to post more competitions so it felt really satisfying.

The lady who ran the blog gave me the email of the supplier so I emailed them yesterday saying that they were either a poorly run company or this was a scam for free marketing. I also said if my prize was not delivered next week I will assume it is a scam and report them to the ASA. An hour later I got an email back saying my prize will be delivered this Tuesday.

I won a competition last September.

The prize was worth around £1800.

25 prizes in total in the win but only 12 turned up.

I contacted the company running the competition and they replied saying they would chase where the rest were. No other contact since and no prizes arrived.
