:confused: Hello there,

Was wondering if any of you Super intelligent money savers can give me some much needed advice please.. Thing is my boyfriend wants to buy a new car , and needs approx £8,000 to finance it, now Ive read all of Martins tips and advice to the point where im just totally confused!!! (sorry Martin)..SO can anyone tell me the best way to finance it ? He plans to pay it back within a year to Eighteen months, so if Im right,, and please tell me if Im not, should he buy on a credit card ,and if so WHICH ONE ?? HE already has a Sainsburys card with 0% on purchases.. but im not sure who else does

theres a free :beer: for any one that can help me

    if he has £8000 avaliable on a 0% credit card and is sure he will payoff the balance before the 0% period runs out then i think that would be a good option. I would however check that you dont get charged a small extra fee for paying the trader with a credit card. I sell cars and if someone is paying me via a credit card i will not reduce my prices in the slightest either, pound notes speak to car dealers unfortunatly credit cards dont.

    Also look into the Cahoot loan, the one that acts like an overdraft, i dont know enough about it personally but others on here will be able to advise you on that.

    were checking out a short term loan at the minute following your advice.In the meantime I forgot ot mention that as well as a £1,500 reduction off the price of the car, we also negotiated th following

    1. A full service
    2. 6 months tax
    3. a full tank of fuel
    4. New floor mats

    Not bad eh!!! :T
