Unroll.me

Sorry if this has already been posted, I'm on my mobile and search function won't work. Just been told about this site unroll.me which lets you unsubscribe from newsletters en masse. Thought it might be helpful for some of us compers

Previous post with links to others - I don't use it so don't know if the risk of WEMs not getting through still applies

It had me thinking (I mean how can you not see a WEM ) that maybe people who subscribed to unrollme and didn't realise that they were not actually being unsubscribed but that emails from companies they had unrolled from would just go straight to bin/trash.

So, if you selected to unroll from "Joe Bloggs" company to stop receiving their marketing emails but you still enter comps from Joe Bloggs and they notify you of a win by email, it will be highly unlikely that you will see the WEM (unless of course you have filters set up on your email) as the email will go straight to your bin/trash.

I find unroll.me a brilliant tool for saving you time, bundling up all your subscriptions and still letting your WEMs come through. However, as covered in the post above, I would avoid using its unsubscribe function as its not a true unsubscribe. All it does is hide those emails from you. It still allows you to unsubscribe manually using the proper method, so do this instead.
